Celebrating Chinese New Year

Chinese New year also known as Spring festival is widely celebrated in the city of Hong Kong. It is considered to be one of the biggest holidays on the calendar of Hong Kong. One of the best events on this occasion is carnival like night parade. This parade will take place on the first day of New Year at 6:30 pm. Many people participate in the parade and the parade will be themed on animal of the year that is goat. The parade will include bikers, skaters, dancers, drummers, jugglers, children and marching bands.

Another great event in Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year is spectacular and magnificent firework displays on Chinese New Year Eve. This display will occur on Victoria Harbor at 8 pm. All the people gather together and see this enormous celebration.

There is another scheduled program which must be joined. This program is based on races. Sha Tin Racecourse holds this program and more than 10,000 people join this event. Along with races this event also offers colorful festivities and programs based on traditional rituals. The profit which is gained from this program is donated as charities.
